Having a trainer has made a huge difference in my life (just ask Robyn). Being over 55 I have had a long time to develop some bad habits. I walked into the Studio with an ATTITUDE of disdain towards exercise--one of those things I HAD to do. My eating habits were worse. Being continually on the "hunt" for the "magic program" I walked through the Fit Studio Doors. I have had trainers (I was too much for one to handle) for 3 years and I am actually starting to enjoy exercise! We kid each other all the time, laugh and have fun! My balance is much better, I have increased strength, my eating is a work in progress, and I have taken on challenges I would NEVER had imagined--like boxing, standing on a balance tool and exercising! The attitude has improved, I find myself being more relaxed, confident, and just feeling better. Thank you Fit Studio staff and trainers for the great support and programs!

Exercises that emphasize stretch and strength like are generally not considered though Pilates and can certainly be combined with cardio workouts to great effect.

The exact protein content of a piece of fish depends on the type of fish and how it was prepared but ounce-for-ounce many varieties have comparable protein contents to chicken pork and beef and more protein than beans or tofu..

Hey Robyn,
I usually have oatmeal 2-3 times a week, but never added the egg until you talked about eating egg whites during your first session here at Allstate. I got brave and tried it and LOVE it. It's more like a pudding now. However, I cook it a little different than the recipe above. Whole oats is a must, but I use skim milk instead of water. I cook the oatmeal until it's almost done, then quickly stir in 4 beaten egg whites and continue to stir until I'm sure they're cooked. (I don't think cooked egg white would be appealing) I add some chopped walnuts, dates or raisins, lots of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg.
I also found that since adding the egg, I needed to cut back on the amount of oats I use (from 1/2 c. to 1/3 c) because it's usually more than I can eat.
I'm anxious to try some of your other recipes.
I also want to tell you that your weekly meetings are SO great and I wish they were an hour long because listening to you is very inspirational. In fact, the 4th week session put tears in my eyes. Not sure why, but it was good. :-)
Take care and God bless.
